A life-and-death battle that can only end when one species perishes.
Mongoose versus Cobra.
A land cobra, also known as the one-eyed cobra (Scientific name: Naja kaouthia), was locked in a cage with a mongoose (Scientific name: Herpestidae)—the eternal enemy of snakes.
The land cobra is one of the most venomous snake species (considered to have a venom stronger than that of the king cobra and some species of krait), and even a minor scratch from its fangs can be enough to send a victim to the hospital.
However, in this battle, the mongoose had the upper hand; with just a few simple yet extremely effective moves, it quickly subdued its opponent. The snake was then removed from the glass cage by some people.
It turns out this was a performance at a Snake Farm in Thailand. This is one of the most popular attractions for tourists and is considered the best snake show in the Damnoen Saduak area of Ratchaburi Province, Thailand.
