On December 2nd, a Dutch company introduced “Glowing Flowers” to the market for the first time. These are freshly cut roses and chrysanthemums that can illuminate in the dark.
Under normal light, these flowers appear white, but in darkness, they emit a phosphorescent blue hue for several hours. The flowers are treated with a harmless transparent chemical that is safe for both the flowers and people.
A spokesperson for the company stated: “Glowing Flowers were created to meet the market’s need for innovative and unique ideas. We hope this new product will be well received, especially in Southern and Eastern European countries.”
The first batch of flowers was sold at an auction at the FloraHolland headquarters in Naaldwijk, Netherlands, fetching prices of $1.09 per chrysanthemum and $2.93 per rose, which is 50% higher than the usual price.
