The footage, recorded by Joanna Steidle, a member of Hampton Drones, presents stunning visuals of the stingray interacting with the menhaden school. In the video, the stingray swims directly into the giant school, and the menhaden gently part ways to allow the stingray through.
Joanna Steidle shared with Storyful that the stingray appeared to be disoriented but eventually found its way out of the menhaden school and returned to its expansive ocean habitat.
